
Presque Isle, ME – The UMPI Owls women's soccer team adds Delaney Little, a local high school player out of Hodgdon High School. Little, a four year starter and a captain in her final year plans to study Medical Laboratory Technology while at UMPI.
The senior finished her final year with some excellent accolades, being named to the Northern Regional Class D Team and the Class D All-Aroostook Team, while also earning the 2022 Aroostook League Scholar Athlete. The midfielder talks about her excitement in joining the UMPI family, "Having the opportunity to play soccer at the collegiate level while still being close to home was definitely a key factor in my decision. I am looking forward to attending UMPI this fall."
Little's high school coach Rob Smith spoke about her as a player throughout her years in high school, "Delaney is a dedicated student of the game. She is always looking for ways to better herself on the field, so that she can improve her game and assist her team on achieving their goals." UMPI Coach, Aaron Marston spoke about his newest recruit, "Delaney is a very athletic midfielder who will fit in well with our team culture, and we are all looking forward to seeing her on the pitch with us this fall and are looking for her to have an immediate impact."
The Owls women's soccer team along with the whole UMPI Family would like to welcome Delaney Little to UMPI, this upcoming fall.
