Men's Cross Country Team Competes in Waterville

Waterville, ME – The University of Maine at Presque Isle men's cross country team traveled to Waterville, Maine to compete in the Thomas College Cross Country Invitational. Southern Maine won the invitational with a team score of 33. Husson finished second, UMF third, MMA finished fourth, Thomas College fifth and SUNY Poly finished sixth. UMPI did not post a team score.

Stephen Grierson (Bass Harbor, ME) was the first Owl to finish with a time of 32:54.2, finishing 22nd with a pace of 6:37. Dareek Roberts (Jefferson Parish, LA) finished 49th with a time of 36:19.7 and an average pace of 7:18.4. Alessandro Marroquin (Weslaco, TX) finished with a time of 39:14 in the 8K race. Joel Soper (Livermore, ME) was the last Owl to finish with a time of 43:56.

The Owls will head to Bangor, Maine to race in the Husson Harrier Invitational on Saturday September 25th.
