Presque Isle, ME – The University of Maine at Presque Isle baseball team brings in Logan MacDougall from Prince Edward Island, Canada. The transfer attended Three Oaks Senior High School before earning a Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary. Logan will look to finish his education at UMPI with a Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Education Program.
During his years playing for the two baseball league teams, MacDougall played shortstop while hitting .289 for the Yorkton Cardinals in 2018 and batting .371 for the Morell Chevies of Kings County Baseball League in Canada.
York Cardinals former Head Coach Robbie Dombrowski, spoke about Logan's work ethic. "Logan is one of the hardest working people I have ever coached. I can say with certainty that he will be a valuable asset to any team."
UMPI Head Coach Stinson, spoke about his new recruit. "I am looking forward to seeing what Logan will bring to our team, he has some experience playing at our level and I am hoping his playing experience and leadership ability will bring a lot to our team and see our guys learn from him. Another great addition to our roster as we keep focused on our goal."
Logan shares his excitement in his future at UMPI, "I'm excited to be suiting up for the UMPI Owls next season and finish my college baseball career while completing my education."
