FORT KENT, ME – The University of Maine at Presque Isle Owls closed out their season with a loss at the University of Maine at Fort Kent on Thursday evening.  The Bengals would win the game by a final score of 79-63.

UMFK would take advantage of some poor shooting early on, going on a 14-0 run to start the game.  The Bengals would never trail in the game, and would hold a 25-point lead at the end of the third quarter.  The Owls would refuse to end the season that way, and would turn around with a strong fourth quarter performance.  UMPI would shoot 45.5% from the floor in the final period and outrebound UMFK 13-4 during that time frame, including grabbing six offensive rebounds.  Rhylee Wright (SO, Frenchville, ME) would score ten points and grab three rebounds, as the Owls would outscore the Bengals 25-16 in the fourth quarter.

Teagan Laweryson (SR, Moscow, ME) would end with 17 points and four rebounds for the Owls.  Jessy Dickison (SR, Houlton, ME) closed out her college career with a double-double, netting 16 points and grabbing ten rebounds, while dealing out five assists.  Emilia Churchill (SO, Washburn, ME) would end with ten points, and Wright would score ten and grab nine rebounds for the game.  Senior guard Brianna Losee (Pittsfield, ME) would end the game with three rebounds and three assists.
