LEICESTER, MA – Four second half goals from Becker College (2-7) would put the game out of reach for the University of Maine at Presque Isle Owls (2-6) as they would fall by a final score of 6-0.

Despite Becker outshooting the Owls 18-4 in the first half, the game would remain scoreless for the first 30 minutes.  The host team would finally break through in the 31st minute with a goal from Lemar Baptista (FR, Brockton, MA).  The Hawks would add another goal just before the half to take a 2-0 at the break.

Becker would continue to put the pressure on in the second half, outshooting the Owls 16-3.  They would get goals in the 49th, 62nd, 68th, and 88th minutes.  Baptista and Benjamin Noyes (JR, Middleton, MA) would each score two goals on the afternoon.

Matt Manter (SR, Caribou, ME) would end up with 13 saves.

The Owls travel to Fisher College tomorrow afternoon for a noon matchup.  This is a rematch from a game in Presque Isle on September 17th in which UMPI notched their first win of the season, a 1-0 victory.
