PRESQUE ISLE, ME – Senior guard Anthony Chacho (Watertown, CT) has been named the American Collegiate Athletic Association Player of the Week for the week ending on February 11, 2018.
In the Owls' only action for the week, Chacho helped lead UMPI to an 85-82 victory over the College of St. Joseph's (VT). Chacho poured in 22 points and assisted in seven other scoring opportunities. He connected on five of eight attempts from behind the three-point arc, and also hit on seven of his eight attempts from the free throw line, which were instrumental in sealing the victory. Perhaps the most impressive statistic of the day, standing at just 5'11", Chacho was the leading rebounder in the game, pulling down 14 in the game.
